2022 Year End Ride, Awards, and Picnic

YEAR END SPIN & SHINDIG

This is now its official title: The Year End Spin & Shindig. The Shpindig. The YESS, people. Whatever. It's how Wisport will officially close the season!
We are going with the socially safe and infinitely easier-to-plan option of an outdoor potluck. Similar to a couple years ago, we will be at Rock Dam Park just outside Greenwood, WI.
THE DEETS:
  • September 24, 2022 (Saturday)
  • Rock Dam Beach Pavillion (Reserved for us)
  • Lunch at about 12:30 PM
  • Rides starting 10:30 AM
  • BYOB--adult beverages are allowed on the premises, to be enjoyed only BY adults per park rules
  • Bring a dish to share
  • We are bringing burgers and franks + buns, plates & the charcoal to cook the meat
  • Swag for all!
  • Overall awards + tags for plaques!
We will have 2 ride options: just over 20 miles, and just under 30 miles. Ride links on our website and at the end of this email. Since it is late September, long rides are getting a little too chilly! If you want to make it a training ride, knock yourself out; we, however, will be encouraging friendly, conversational speed.
If you plan to come, please drop me an email so we can bring the right amount of food. Also, let us know what you plan to bring! If I get 5 replies of "chips" I might just have to email you back with a different "ask", however!

Things to consider bringing:
  • A dessert (home made or bought)
  • Chips (easy out)
  • Pasta salad
  • Veggie or fruit tray/dish
  • Potato Salad
  • Soda for the group (another easy out--just bring a cooler for it!)
